Randy's Tuesday

Randy worked his mind with games today. He played some Sudoku and some crosswords. He also worked on peeling and slicing apples to dehydrate them.

So often, Randy will seem to be so close to being back to "normal" but then days like today bring it back that his brain still has a lot of healing to do. Today, Randy took a couple of calls from different doctors' offices. He took notes when talking to them and then tried to tell me what they had called for. He was able to tell me some of what they needed, but then he confused the two calls. I tried to ask him questions to clue his memory, but that didn't work. I finally gave up and called the doctors' offices. One called just to remind of the appointment and the other was calling to discuss the orders needed for his outpatient therapy.

Tomorrow, we got back to Harborview for an MRI and then a follow up visit with the Neurosurgery clinic.

Rachel - thank you for keeping up the journal on Randy. Even though many of us don't post comments, your daily updates are read by a lot of people. Keep up the good attitude. If only there were more strong people like you standing up for those in need, the world would be such a better place. You're setting a wonderful example. Take care - Melissa Fox
